Home Care Packages

Helping you get the most out of your home care package

You have a home care package that provides you with funding and support to stay in your own home as you age.

But are you happy with how your home care package is managed and delivered?

Do you feel like you have enough choice and control over your home care services and providers?

Do you want to save money and get more value from your home care package?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you need The Money Educators. We are a team of experts who can help you understand, access, and navigate the home care system.

We can help you find the best home care package manager and service providers for your needs and preferences.

What is the difference between a home care package manager and a service provider?

A home care package manager helps you manage your home care package. They receive the money from the government for your home care package and pay invoices to your service providers. They also help you coordinate your services, prepare invoices and statements, and ensure your care and services are safe, quality, and compliant.

A service provider is a person or organisation that provides you with home care services. Home care services can include things like personal care, domestic assistance, home maintenance, transport, social support, allied health, nursing, and assistive technology.

You can choose your own service providers or use the ones that your home care package manager recommends. However, some home care package managers may have preferred or contracted service providers that they work with. This may limit your choices and affect the quality and cost of your services.

How do we help you?

At The Money Educators, we help you get the best out of your home care package by:

  • helping you decide what services you need and want and how to      access them
  • helping you find and compare different service providers that suit      your needs and preferences
  • helping you choose a home care package manager or change home care package managers based on your choices and goals
  • helping you negotiate the best prices and fees for your services and package management
  • helping you monitor and review your home care package and services
  • helping you upgrade your home care package if your needs change or      deteriorate

We are not affiliated with any home care package managers or service providers. We are independent and impartial.

We work for you and with you to ensure you get the best value and quality for your home care package.

How do we charge for our service?

We charge a fee for our service that is paid by you and is not paid out of your home care package.

This means you can use your full home care package funding for your services and not for our fees.

We offer two options for our service:

  • A one-off fee for helping you set up your home care package with      the best home care package manager and service providers for you. This fee      depends on the level of your home care package and the complexity of your needs and preferences.
  • An ongoing fee for providing you with regular support and advice to      help you manage and review your home care package and services. This fee is a fixed monthly amount that you can cancel at any time.
